Description: During the 50's Israel built refugee absorption camps (Ma'abarot) to host the many Jewish refugees and new Olim (Jewish immigrants) arriving to the newly independent State of Israel. This photograph documents daily life at the Beer Sheva refugee absortion camp, located in the south of Israel.
